Key Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
- Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and students
- Ability to manage a caseload of 40 students, primarily elementary, across multiple school sites (PK-12)
- Must be able to complete and clear Florida school district fingerprinting requirements; prior completion through the AHCA Clearinghouse may be accepted
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite physical therapy services to students, supporting their access to and participation in educational activities
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide intervention and monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a positive learning environment
- Travel to assigned school locations within the district (North of Destin, FL)
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state regulations
