Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain experience in the fast-paced food industry, including quick service and restaurant operations.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and transactions
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving accurate change
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist in food handling, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper food storage procedures are followed
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with basic cooking tasks and food preparation as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines related to sanitation, food handling, and equipment use
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and kitchen calculations
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food preparation, sanitation practices, and food safety standards is desirable
- Prior experience in retail or grocery store settings involving cash handling or serving is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if needed
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
