Manufacturing Technician

We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Technician for our R&D Innovation Center in Newark, CA. This role reports to the Director of Manufacturing Operations. We offer a close knit team that doesn't take itself too seriously, real hands on work with equipment you won't find anywhere else, and a supportive and fun work environment.
What you'll do:
- Keep our pilot manufacturing equipment running through routine maintenance and hands on repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate fixes with engineering when needed
- Track spare parts and stock levels so the line never stalls waiting on a fix
- Help train teammates on new production equipment as we roll it out
- Flag ideas for improving our processes and equipment, you'll help shape how this gets built
- Support quality from prototype through pre production, keeping an eye on the finished garment, not just the machine
- Keep safety front and center, always
What you bring:
- Real experience: you've spent time keeping automated equipment running, ideally 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment with heavy automation, and you know your way around motors, sensors, and electro mechanical systems
- A bias towards action: you have the ability to stand for extended periods, stoop, perform repetitive tasks, lift items up to 50 lbs using appropriate safety techniques, and don't hesitate to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
- The desire to problem solve: you troubleshoot equipment issues, fix what you can, and know when to bring in engineering
- A willingness to learn: you're ready to pick up new equipment as we build it out, things like laser cutters, CNC fabric cutters, and adhesive dispensers, even without a manual to follow
- Dependable: you do what you say you're going to do, keep parts and stock counts accurate, and show up when needed

Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
