Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and dignity.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with medication administration under supervision.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe environment and engaging in therapeutic activities.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to prevent injury and ensure patient comfort.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to observe changes in patient conditions, report concerns promptly, and participate in care planning.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state or relevant licensing authority.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or memory care is highly valued.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous.
