Seeking candidates for an immediate full-time opening at a prestigious private school located near the Capital Highway 360 corridor of Northwest Austin. Applicants must have an active level 3 or 4 Texas private security license in good standing. Applicants should have or be willing to obtain CPI Restraint training, CPR/AED/First-Aid, and Stop the Bleed certification. Candidates with previous school security, law enforcement and/or military experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Hours required will be 7:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. daily, every Monday through Friday throughout the school year. School will be closed on weekends and during school-designated holidays. Some additional hours may be required on occasion for training with the school district or extra-curricular activity coverage. Overtime and additional work hours are available occasionally for assigned campus and other company held sites located within the Austin area.
Uniform shirts, jackets, and plate carrier with corresponding patches are provided; however, candidate must provide their own firearm, armor plates (soft or hard), duty gear, and attire (black tactical-style pants, black undershirt, and black duty boots). Applicant must have a working smartphone and their own reliable transportation.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under general supervision, the purpose
of this position is to protect and maintain a safe and secure
environment for educators and students, investigate and take appropriate action related to incidents occurring on campus, and serve as a safety monitor, as well as be able to calmly mediate issues to prevent any potential conflict from escalating.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Investigate and appropriately document allegations of
incidents occurring on or within the campus per school/company policies and
procedures
Monitors campus and works with law enforcement,
school officials and the local community to design crime prevention strategies
Establishes and maintains a close partnership with school
administrators in order to provide for a safe school environment
Assist school administrators in emergency crisis planning and implementation of
safety and security measures
