Are you a motivated HVAC professional ready to take your technical skills to the next level? We’re seeking an energetic HVAC Commissioning Technician with at least 1 year of experience to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be the ultimate quality control specialist, responsible for ensuring newly installed HVAC systems operate flawlessly, run efficiently, and meet exact project specifications through thorough startup and commissioning processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Testing & Startup: Conduct comprehensive testing and initial commissioning/startup of newly installed residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and specialized units.
- Blueprint Translation: Interpret schematics, HVAC design documents, and mechanical drawings to accurately audit, evaluate, and verify equipment functionality.
- Field System Calibration: Perform field service tasks such as equipment calibration, safety checks, and micro-adjustments to ensure peak energy performance.
- Electrical Diagnostics: Utilize tools like ohmmeters and digital meters to diagnose complex wiring or control issues and perform necessary electrical corrections.
- System Integration: Assist with plumbing, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks as needed to ensure complete, seamless system integration.
- Meticulous Reporting: Document all commissioning activities flawlessly on your company iPad, including static pressure readings, airflow metrics, system adjustments, and compliance reports.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project installation teams to ensure the final product aligns perfectly with safety standards and technical specifications.
What You Need to Bring (Requirements):
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in construction, installation, or service technician roles related to HVAC or mechanical systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC design principles, and mechanical operations.
- System Familiarity: Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and general mechanical systems.
- Diagnostic Toolkit: Proficiency in using field diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and specialized pressure meters. (EPA 608 Certification required).
- Licensing & Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required).
- Highly Preferred Skills: Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems, boiler operations, or advanced welding/mechanical experience is a major plus.
