Part Time HOA Maintenance Technician | Englewood HOA Community
40 hours per month | Tuesdays and Fridays, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
We are currently seeking a reliable, proactive, and personable individual to support the ongoing care, cleanliness, and appearance of an HOA community in Englewood.
This is a part time position, approximately 40 hours per month, with work typically scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This role works independently on site, but within a community setting, so the person in this position should be comfortable being visible to residents, Board members, vendors, and management while working throughout the property.
This position also requires one monthly check in at the corporate office, located at 12345 W Alameda Parkway, for approximately 30 minutes.
The primary focus of this role is beautification, cleanliness, and upkeep of the common areas, breezeways, and grounds. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices issues without always needing to be told, and is willing to help with small projects that improve the overall appearance and function of the community.
Because this is an HOA community, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, Board members, vendors, and management. This position requires someone who is approachable, personable, and comfortable interacting with people throughout the workday. If you prefer not to work around or communicate with people, this would not be the right fit.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- General cleaning and upkeep of common areas, breezeways, sidewalks, exterior areas, and shared spaces
- Trash pickup, dog station maintenance, and general debris removal
- Light building maintenance, including minor repairs, touch up painting, light bulb checks, and basic handyman tasks
- Grounds maintenance, including planting, shrub pruning, edging, rock work, landscape cleanup, irrigation support, and seasonal cleanup
- Assisting with small community improvement projects involving landscaping, woodwork, rock, lighting, painting, and other common area enhancements
- Reporting maintenance concerns, safety issues, damage, or resident related concerns to the management company
- Oversight and communication regarding contracted vendor work when needed
- Snow removal support, including shoveling, ice melt application, and ice mitigation when requested
An ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to work independently from a task list or work orders provided by management
- Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping the community clean and attractive
- A proactive mindset and ability to identify issues before they become larger problems
- Basic maintenance, handyman, landscaping, painting, lighting, carpentry, or exterior project experience
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with management, Board members, vendors, and residents
- A personable, approachable attitude and the ability to work well with people
- Comfort working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor
- Reliable transportation and consistent availability on scheduled workdays
- Availability to attend one monthly 30 minute check in at the corporate office
- A respectful and community focused attitude
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys hands on work, can manage their time without constant supervision, and understands that HOA maintenance requires both quality workmanship and strong people skills.
