General Definition:

Responsible for accurately timing workouts each morning.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervises Clocking staff

Maintains book of each horse registered markings for identification
-
Inputs daily work out details in computer
- Generates workout report, makes copies, and distributes to appropriate personnel.

Notifies ambulance & other appropriate parties when an accident occurs on the track
-
Coordinates the Workout Rule and first time starters for entries with appropriate personnel.

Approve first-time starters around the turn and updates list
-
All other duties as assigned by management.

Transmits to the Stewards all complaints, protests, objections, or disputes.

Assists, as required, in the daily operation of the racing office.

Education:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination.

Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

- Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Training:

3 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
