MOULTRIE COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING
The Moultrie County State’s Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Office Manager/Victim Witness Coordinator.
Responsibilities: Serves as the first contact (electronically and/or in person) with the public regarding legal matters on behalf of the State’s Attorney’s Office; creates and maintains (electronic) files for criminal and civil matters; assists with the preparation, filing, and distribution of documents including tendering discovery in criminal matters; assists the State’s Attorney with tracking of annual budget and payment of claims; assist State’s Attorney to complete FOIA responses.
Additional responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, communicate regularly (electronically and/or in person) with Crime Victims, provide direct services to Crime Victims and witnesses of crime, provide referrals to local service agencies to support Crime Victims, notify Crime Victims of their rights under the Illinois Crime Victim’s Act, and provide support to complete Illinois Crime Victim’s Compensation Act paperwork. Notify Crime Victims and witnesses of court dates, oversee meetings prior to court, and report outcomes to Crime Victims. Attend court hearings as well as meetings with service agencies and law enforcement to provide support and information to Crime Victims as needed. Oversee periodic training offered to local law enforcement by the State’s Attorney’s Office. Compile statistics and manage grant application and paperwork as required by the Illinois Violent Crime Victim’s Assistance Grant. Supervises the Domestic Violence Diversion Program. Completes other tasks assigned.
Description: The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills as well as be detail oriented, able to manage competing demands, and work as part of a team as well as independently. Must be comfortable working with technology including Microsoft based programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) as well as SharePoint, Power Point, Zoom, and similar programs. Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience in the legal or criminal justice field.

Salary: $41,000 - $46,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement, and paid time off which are available upon completion of probationary period.
