Sarasota Window Blinds is expanding! In addition to custom window treatments, we are growing our window and door division and are looking for experienced, professional installers who take pride in quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
We install premium residential and light commercial products throughout Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities
- Pick up products from our Sarasota warehouse when required.
- Review your installation schedule daily using our scheduling software.
- Communicate your weekly availability with our administrative team.
- Safely remove existing windows and doors.
- Install new windows and doors according to manufacturer specifications and Florida building codes.
- Ensure installations are level, square, weather-tight, and properly sealed.
- Install hardware, locks, handles, and accessories.
- Perform finish work as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Break down and dispose of packaging and installation debris unless otherwise instructed.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation.
- Contact the assigned salesperson or company owner whenever clarification is needed.
- Identify and troubleshoot installation challenges while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Upload photos of completed installations into our software before closing each job.
- Report damaged materials, missing products, or jobsite concerns immediately.
- Represent Sarasota Window Blinds professionally at every customer interaction.
Qualifications
Preferred experience installing:
- Impact windows
- Replacement windows
- New construction windows
- Sliding glass doors
- French doors
- Entry doors
- Patio doors
- Hurricane-rated windows and doors
Experience installing products from manufacturers such as PGT, Andersen, Marvin, CGI, ES Windows, WinDoor, Therma-Tru, Masonite, JELD-WEN, or similar is preferred but not required.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous professional window and/or door installation experience
- Reliable work van or enclosed trailer suitable for transporting installation tools
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Professional-grade installation tools
- Smartphone capable of using scheduling software and uploading photos
- Reliable internet access
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds safely
- Ability to safely work on ladders and scaffolding
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with our office
Applicants must successfully complete:
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
Insurance Requirements
Independent contractors must provide proof of:
- $2,000,000 General Liability Insurance
- Workers' Compensation Insurance or a valid Workers' Compensation Exemption
- Current automobile insurance
Scheduling & Payment
- Review your installation calendar daily.
- Communicate your availability with our office.
- Submit invoices weekly.
- Approved invoices are paid within 3 business days.
