Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Northumberland. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support while learning vocational skills, ensuring they can thrive in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities vocational activities.
- Monitor and document individual progress and well-being.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks as needed.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages independence.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage clients in social and occupational activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working in group homes or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
