Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within our facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for events or meetings as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a custodial or janitorial role preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
