Full-Time Position
Ralph Mann & Sons is a family-owned HVAC, plumbing, geothermal, generator, and oil delivery company proudly serving Connecticut since 1916. We are looking for a licensed HVAC technician to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate is experienced, dependable, professional, and takes pride in quality workmanship. This role includes diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems throughout Connecticut.
Responsibilities
The Licensed HVAC Technician will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heating and cooling systems
- Performing routine maintenance on furnaces, boilers, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment
- Troubleshooting system issues and clearly communicating findings to customers
- Completing service calls in a timely, professional manner
- Providing recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or replacement when appropriate
- Participating in the company’s on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service
- Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
- Following all safety standards, codes, and company procedures
- Representing Ralph Mann & Sons with professionalism, honesty, and respect on every job
- Participating in training opportunities to continue building technical knowledge and stay current with industry standards, equipment, and best practices
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have:
- Valid Connecticut HVAC license required
- Hands-on experience with residential HVAC service and repair
- Knowledge of heating, cooling, heat pump, and ductless systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Heat pumps and dual-fuel systems
- Boilers and hydronic heating
- Ductless mini-split systems
- Geothermal systems
- Indoor air quality equipment
- Light commercial HVAC service
