Job Dental Assistant needed full-time
Duties
- Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery,
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and adhering to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, medical documentation, and explaining procedures to patients clearly and professionally.
- Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ensure adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention standards at all times.
Appreciated Skills
- Experience as a dental assistant within general dentistry
- Knowledge of dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and sterilization tools
- Familiarity with medical/dental terminology, coding, is appreciated but not necessary
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk with and educate patients
- Certifications are appreciated
