Ferny Fertility New York, a boutique-style fertility center located in the heart of Manhattan, is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for an efficient candidate who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Both full time and part time candidates will be considered. This is an in-person position, so being able to commute to NYC every day is a must.
Description:
- Check patients in and out; answer incoming calls and emails
- Collect copayments when directed
- Accompanying patients to the exam room
- Take vital signs for all patients: take blood pressure, weight, height and temperature; reporting patient history summary
- Perform Phlebotomy and collect other lab specimens as ordered
- Maintain supplies, equipment, stocks
- Sterilizing instruments and cleaning up exam rooms after patients are seen
- Assist Providers with medical procedures, including but not limited to ultrasounds, colposcopy, endometrial biopsies, and IUD Insertions and removal, IUI, hysteroscopies, egg retrievals
- Schedule appointments, provide appropriate referrals and follow-ups
Requirements:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certificate required
- Excellent customer service skills
- 1 year of experience in a medical office is preferred
- Flexible hours - must be available early morning and evening and Saturday
- Computer proficiency required, especially Google suite
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
