Global Category Manager – Colors, Strategic Sourcing & Agronomy Strategy - Any ADM US location, preferably Erlanger, KY

Position Summary:
The Global Category Manager – Colors Strategic Sourcing & Agronomy Strategy leads the global sourcing strategy for natural color raw materials, serving as ADM's procurement subject matter expert across natural colors sources. Reporting to the Global Procurement Color Leader, this role builds a reliable, scalable, cost-effective supply base to support business growth, innovation, risk management and cost improvement. The successful candidate will partner closely with suppliers, growers, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to shape ADM's long-term Colors sourcing strategy.
Job Responsibilities:-
Develop and execute the global procurement strategy for natural color raw materials (red radish, purple sweet potato, beta carotene, paprika, annatto, turmeric, beetroot, purple carrot, spirulina, carmine, and others)

Serve as the global procurement SME, delivering market intelligence, crop outlooks, and risk assessments to senior leadership

Lead supplier segmentation, RFX events, contract negotiations, and award recommendations for the Colors category

Monitor global crop conditions, harvest projections, and geopolitical dynamics impacting natural color raw materials; build agronomy-based sourcing strategies to improve reliability and diversification

Own the strategic supplier relationship: build partnerships, lead business reviews, and hold suppliers accountable for performance, cost, and sustainability commitments

Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier-related disruptions, resolving quality, capacity, or delivery issues and driving root-cause corrective action

Identify supply risks across the natural color portfolio and build mitigation plans, including alternate sourcing for single-source materials

Partner with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial on raw material approvals, second sourcing, and new product initiatives

Translate complex supply market information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
Required Skills:-
Deep understanding of crop-based sourcing, agronomy, harvest cycles, and agricultural risk

Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and supplier escalation/issue-resolution skills

Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present clear recommendations to senior leadership

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, crop reports, and cost drivers
Education Requirements:-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Food/Soil Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related field is required. An advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Agriculture, or Food Science is preferred.
Required Experience:-
10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, agribusiness, or natural/food ingredients

Direct experience in the natural colors industry, or with a natural color house, ingredient manufacturer, processor, or agricultural sourcing organization, strongly preferred

Experience leading global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and supplier development
Additional information:-
Ability to travel globally, up to 40%, to meet with suppliers, growers, and processors. Relocation assistance is available with this position.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$120,100.00 - $198,500.00
Salaried Incentive Plan
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
