Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments using straight razors and other tools.
- Perform a variety of hair styling techniques such as fades, tapers, and intricate designs tailored to client preferences.
- Apply hair coloring, hair extensions, and other cosmetic treatments to meet client needs.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations according to health regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging clients with friendly communication, listening carefully to their requests, and offering expert advice on styles and products.
- Manage retail sales of hair care products, accessories, and grooming supplies through upselling techniques.
- Assist with store management tasks including front desk duties, appointment scheduling, and mentoring new team members.
Skills
- Proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Extensive experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering, hair coloring, and styling.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Skilled in hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care for comprehensive beauty services.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Familiarity with store management operations including front desk responsibilities and mentoring staff members.
