Overview
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitors to join our team for first, second, or third shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across diverse facility environments. Your efforts will ensure safe, hygienic, and well-maintained spaces that meet our clients’ expectations. This position offers a vital opportunity to contribute to the safety and appearance of commercial and industrial spaces through diligent custodial work.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation and disinfecting procedures in accordance with safety protocols.
- Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain floors in optimal condition.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs when required.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and stripping floors.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting and chemical use.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Customer service skills are advantageous for interacting professionally within client environments.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial roles is beneficial for success in this position.
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
