ENERGY MARSHAL – DATA CENTERS
Location: USA (Travel Required and Onsite)
Compensation: $60-$90 Per Hour + 1.5x Overtime + Bonus + Per Diem + Vehicle Allowance

We are partnering with one of the fastest-growing contractors in the mission-critical sector to recruit an experienced Energy Marshal to support hyperscale data center projects across the United States.
This is an opportunity to join a business with a multi-billion-dollar project backlog, delivering some of the largest and most complex data center developments in the country for leading technology clients.
PLEASE NOTE: Previous hyperscale or mission-critical data center experience is mandatory. Candidates without data center experience will not be considered for this position.
As the Energy Marshal, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical safety, energization procedures, lockout/tagout compliance, and ensuring all systems are brought online safely and efficiently throughout the commissioning process.
Responsibilities
- Lead all Energy Marshal activities across large-scale data center projects.
- Manage and enforce electrical safety procedures and site-specific energization plans.
- Review and approve LOTO documentation and switching procedures.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams, QAQC, Superintendents, Project Managers and client representatives.
- Conduct electrical safety audits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Support startup, testing, commissioning and turnover activities.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA and project-specific safety standards.
- Participate in daily planning meetings and energization reviews.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and develop corrective actions.
- Mentor project teams on electrical safety best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Energy Marshal on hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, medium voltage and low voltage infrastructure.
- Experience managing energization and commissioning activities.
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to review switching procedures and LOTO documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments.
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup and critical system energization.
- Applicants without previous data center experience will not be considered.
