Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting shoes and men's apparel that suit their preferences and fit requirements.
- Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
- Provide personalized upselling recommendations to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash handling, transactions, and receipts, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the department is visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Conduct regular stock checks, manage inventory levels, and assist with stocking to keep the department ready for customers.
- Offer excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments, maintaining clear communication.
- Support supervising team members when needed, including training new staff on POS systems, customer service standards, and store policies.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in footwear or mens apparel environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively and provide excellent service.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required; leadership skills are valued.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy store setting.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory management; familiarity with grocery store environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
