Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Manager/Driver to oversee our logistics operations and ensure seamless warehouse functions. Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Manage procurement, sourcing, and category management activities to optimize costs and supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) for freight scheduling, dispatching, fleet management, and transportation planning to ensure timely deliveries.
- Supervise warehouse distribution activities, materials handling, packaging, and category management to maintain high standards of safety and accuracy.
- Drive company vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation regulations; perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance coordination.
- Implement process improvements utilizing data analysis skills and supply chain analytics to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to optimize shipping & receiving workflows.
- Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, demand planning, and utilizing tools like AS400 or CMMS for asset tracking.
- Lead staff training on warehouse procedures, forklift operation, order picking & packing, dispatching, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and logistics.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Strong inventory management skills with experience in inventory control techniques and materials handling best practices.
- Ability to analyze data using supply chain analytics tools for process improvement initiatives.
- Skilled in freight coordination, shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and category management strategies.
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating forklifts safely within warehouse environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills for team leadership, dispatching coordination, and vendor interactions.
- Familiarity with packaging standards, materials sourcing, procurement procedures, and demand forecasting techniques.
