About the Role
We are looking for a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our building, equipment, and systems running safely and efficiently. This hands-on position involves inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and building systems. Your work will help ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues using testing tools and wiring diagrams.
- Complete mechanical repairs, welding work, and support automated equipment that uses PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Record maintenance activities and work orders using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS).
- Assist with general building maintenance, including painting, drywall repairs, and facility upkeep.
- Help manage or support maintenance projects while following safety guidelines and deadlines.
- Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to identify and resolve equipment problems.
Qualifications
- Commercial HVAC certification is required.
- Experience in facility maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with PLCs and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, welding, plumbing, HVAC, or related trades.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Fluent in English.
