Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Shop Hand to join our team. This position involves assisting with a variety of shop operations, including material preparation, sandblasting, supporting the coating department, and general fabrication duties. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting and surface preparation of parts and materials
- Assist in the coating department with preparation, masking, hanging, and handling of parts
- Cut raw materials to required dimensions using shop equipment
- Bend and form parts according to specifications and work orders
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with inventory organization and material handling
- Support production and fabrication teams as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications
- Manufacturing, fabrication, shop, warehouse, or construction experience preferred but not required
- Experience with sandblasting, powder coating, or metal fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read tape measures and follow basic work instructions
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
