We are currently seeking a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Locum) to join our amazing team.
Details of the Opportunity:
- Start date: 11/2/2026
- Salary: $150/hr
- Schedule: Full Time, 8AM-5PM
Details:
- Support staff: RNs/MAs/Surgeons/Additional APPs
- Amount of coverage needed per month: full time
- Patients per day: can range from 8-12/day
- Patient population/age: adults
- Department description: This department sees crani patients primarily. The surgeons supported by this APP are skull surgeons specifically
- Inpatient: APP may pull drains and may need to do lumbar punctures. NO OR TIME/FIRST ASSIST
- Outpatient: removing stitches, fixing shunts
- Skills required: must have strong inpatient neurosurgery skills
- Must have strong pre and post op patient care skills
Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Locum) Requirements
- Board Certification: NP Board cert required: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC
- License required: CA license required
- DEA: CA DEA with full schedules required(2/2n)
- Certifications preferred
- Certifications required
- Minimum experience required: At least 1-2 years experience working in inpatient neurosurgery settingmSkull/crani based surgical experience highly preferred
