Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: Customer Service Lead
Status: Full Time/Hourly (40 hrs/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)
Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Motor coordination, manual and finger dexterity
MUST be Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)
MUST HAVE AS400 Experience
Job Preferences
Associate’s Degree in related field
Automotive background
Computer skills- Proficient in Microsoft
Telephone etiquette skills
Job Summary
To update shipping requirements in the AS400, all paperwork such as shippers, and bills of lading. Coordinate Customer issues between Customer Service department, Production Planner and Warehouse Department.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilites for assigned customers include:
Maintaining and posting all shipping orders.
Coordinating all necessary paperwork for each shipment.
Faxing shipping information to the appropriate customer.
Entering all shipping requirements into the AS400.
Answering customer calls, which may include taking orders, checking on delivery dates, or tracking shipments.
Create BOL’s (bills of lading).
Maintaining CUM’s.
Responsible for detecting and preventing any issues that may result in short shipments to the customers.
Ensuring that on special dates like holidays, we are ready to respond to special schedules.
When issues arise with equipment, it will be necessary to work very close with the Production Manager to make sure customers receive the parts on time.
Working with the Production Manager or Plant Manager when customers are asking for Break-In Fees.
Coordinating shipments because of a quality rejection or customer issues.
Creating reports or studies that may help improve our service to the customers.
Visiting customer as needed.
Keeping work area clean and organized at all times.
Following 5S Procedures

Sometimes necessary to enter the production area, where the temperature can reach over 100 degrees, noise levels average around 90 decibels, and occasional dust and fumes may be encountered.
