Knollwood Club, a historic Adirondack Great Camp in Saranac Lake, seeks a responsible Assistant Superintendent / Caretaker beginning now and continuing through November 13th. Depending on performance, additional part time hours may be possible over the winter and more hours in Spring 2027 through November 2027.
Duties include daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks and projects. Perform preventive maintenance for major equipment, built structures and vehicles. Conduct grounds maintenance on property; clearing, mowing, raking, seeding. Monitor firewood supply and facilitate trash removal on an as-needed basis. Assume property leadership when Superintendent is absent.
Successful candidate will be organized, able to work independently and have a pride of workmanship. They will be willing to learn and take on different types of projects.
2-3 years of experience in maintenance and carpentry preferred.
Pay: $25-$35 per hour depending on experience and skills. On-site subsidized housing is available for the right candidate.
