This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating the Parks and Recreation department website and digital communications platforms.
The Role

Creates, schedules, and publishes engaging content across the department's social media channels to promote parks, recreation programs, facilities, events, and community initiatives.

Produces high-quality written, graphic, and multimedia content that is accurate, engaging, and consistent with the City's branding and communication standards.

Coordinates with the City's Communications Department and collaborates with divisions across Parks and Recreation, as well as other city departments, to gather information, ensure timely and accurate messaging, and support department-wide communication efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of website content management systems, social media platforms, digital marketing, content creation, graphic design, and copywriting, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while effectively engaging diverse audiences.One year of recent experience in social media and digital content programming. Bachelor's degree in recreation, business administration, marketing, or related field required. Experience in major CMS platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
