American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Behavioral Health for a 13-week night shift travel contract at an inpatient psychiatric unit in Elko, NV, requiring a minimum of one year of inpatient behavioral health experience and an active NV RN license.

Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) located on the 3rd floor of a Joint Commission-accredited hospital
-
16-bed adult psychiatric unit treating conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis (primary mental health)

Patient ratio of 1:4

12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every-other-weekend rotation required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating to other departments may be required
-
Equipment includes vitals machines, Omnicell, and EMAR
-
EHR: Med Host
-
Active NV RN license required
-
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
-
ACLS required (up to 60 days after start date to obtain)

PALS required (up to 90 days after start date to obtain)

Minimum 1 year of inpatient behavioral health experience required

Social Security number required for consideration

Handle with Care certification is preferred

Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult patients with a range of mental health diagnoses

Scrubs required; no specific color designated

Fit testing for respiratory protection is available on-site

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

AHA-issued certifications are required (non-AHA equivalents not accepted)
