Location: New York, NY
We are looking for a compassionate Pediatric PACU RN to join a leading outpatient specialty care team. This role provides hands-on pre- and post-anesthesia care to children in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre- and post-procedure nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing anesthesia or sedation.
- Conduct assessments, start IVs, and monitor central lines as needed.
- Support safe patient recovery and provide discharge instructions to children and their families.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Educate patients and caregivers about symptom management, recovery, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with operational and nursing duties in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- NYS RN license required
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Prior pediatric PACU, perioperative, procedural, or critical care experience preferred
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing patient needs
