Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver packages along designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any delivery questions or concerns.
- Navigate route driving efficiently using GPS and route planning tools to meet daily delivery targets.
- Assist with heavy lifting, moving packages of various sizes, and using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation throughout each shift.
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure safe operations at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required.
- Experience operating a box truck or similar vehicle with manual transmission is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical moving of packages regularly throughout the day.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with load & unload procedures enhances your readiness for this role.
