Job Overview
- We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and treatment for residents at Willow Point Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and may assist in supervising Nursing Assistants and unit helpers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist new residents in adjusting to the unit and care environment
- Report and document any changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse
- Participate in care plan preparation, implementation, and evaluation
- Observe, record, and report resident progress
- Administer medications (excluding IV) and monitor effectiveness
- Maintain accurate nursing records and documentation
- Carry out therapeutic treatments
- Secure and account for controlled medications
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Attend staff meetings and in-service programs
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Experience:
- Psychiatry: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- LPN (Required)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor (Required)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
