Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site operations and be familiar with various construction management software. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Concrete Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of concrete projects while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project tracking and scheduling.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and manage workflow effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment used in concrete mixing and pouring.
- Assist in budgeting and estimating project costs related to concrete work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, particularly in concrete labor or related fields.
- Familiarity with construction management software including HeavyBid, Primavera, and ProCore is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and contracts effectively.
- Previous supervising experience is a plus; strong management skills are essential.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to construction site safety.
- Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment safely.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team environment.
