Affordable Dentures & Implants is seeking a detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to support our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment while ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards. What You’ll Do
As a Sterilization Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting the clinical team by ensuring instruments, equipment, and treatment areas are properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and prepared for safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dental practice.
- Scrub, wash, disinfect, and decontaminate surgical and dental instruments to remove biological debris
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment according to established protocols
- Assemble, inspect, package, label, and store sterile instruments and supplies
- Prepare, set up, and break down treatment rooms before and after patient procedures
- Maintain sterilization records and monitor equipment performance
- Track inventory of sterile instruments and clinical supplies to ensure adequate availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization areas and clinical workspaces
- Dispose of contaminated materials following OSHA and infection control guidelines
- Support dentists and clinical staff by ensuring instruments and equipment are available for patient care
- Perform additional duties to support daily clinical operations
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to infection prevention and patient safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred:
- Previous sterile processing or dental sterilization experience
- Experience operating autoclaves or sterilization equipment
- Knowledge of dental instruments and medical terminology
- Experience with inventory management in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and AAMI standards

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
