Primary Purpose:
Support safe, equitable, and positive school environments across Pflugerville ISD by serving as the district's lead trainer and professional
development coordinator for campus administrators and staff in behavioral practices, school climate, restorative approaches, and student wellness
(Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction); and by providing supplemental coordination, training, and capacity-building support for campus
Safe and Supportive Schools Program (SSSP) teams in alignment with TEA SSSP guidance (Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic
Enrichment). This position builds supplemental capacity beyond state-required campus SSSP and Chapter 37 functions, which are overseen by the
Director, Student Affairs. Continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant funding. Time and Effort documentation is required.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification):
Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Valid Texas Administrator Certificate. Minimum of three years of campus-level administrative or leadership
experience preferred. Experience in student behavior management, school climate practices, educator professional development, or school safety preferred.
Major Responsibilities:
Title II, Part A — Professional Development & Educator Effectiveness (approx. 50%)
1. Design, coordinate, and deliver districtwide supplemental professional development for campus administrators and staff on student behavioral
practices, restorative approaches, positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), and Chapter 37 implementation — in alignment with the
District Improvement Plan and ESSA professional development standards. All Title II, Part A-funded professional development is supplemental to
state-required training minimums.
2. Provide supplemental training and coaching to campus SSSP teams on behavioral threat assessment procedures, threat recognition, de-escalation
strategies, and documentation practices, in alignment with TEA SSSP guidance and evidence-based best practices. Campus SSSP teams are
required by TEC §37.115; this position provides supplemental training and support beyond state-required team baselines.
3. Support campus administrators with the consistent and equitable implementation of student discipline procedures, providing guidance on due
process, documentation, and appropriate student supports.
4. Provide ongoing coaching and technical assistance to campus leaders on behavior management practices, school climate strategies, and compliance
with Texas Education Code Chapter 37.
5. Assist the Director of Student Affairs in developing, preparing, and presenting programmatic information and training resources to support campus
staff in student support and wellness practices.
6. Review discipline and behavioral data to identify trends, inform professional development priorities, and support equitable, evidence-based practices
across campuses.
Title IV, Part A — Safe and Supportive Schools / Threat Assessment (approx. 50%)
7. Provide supplemental coordination and capacity-building support to campus SSSP teams, including training, case consultation, and technical
assistance; serve as a district resource for campus teams navigating complex behavioral wellness situations. District-level SSSP oversight committee
responsibilities under TEC §37.115(e) are retained by the Director, Student Affairs.
8. Serve as a district-level point of contact for campus support related to behavioral wellness and threat assessment consultation, providing
supplemental guidance and connecting campuses to appropriate district and community resources; the Director of Student Affairs retains authority
over formal district threat assessment program compliance.
9. Coordinate and support districtwide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and restorative practices as
supplemental components of a safe and supportive school environment.
10. Collaborate with district departments, campus administrators, mental health staff, and legal counsel as appropriate to support student behavioral
wellness and school safety.
11. Support the Director of Student Affairs with DAEP and JJAEP coordination as assigned; DAEP and JJAEP placement decisions and compliance
responsibilities under TEC Chapter 37 are retained by the Director of Student Affairs.
12. Assist in responding to parent and student concerns related to behavior and campus climate, including participation in complaint resolution and
mediation as assigned.
13. Support campus administrators with Level I complaints; assist with coordination and preparation of documentation for higher-level grievance
proceedings as needed.
14. Maintain accurate records and data related to threat assessment training, behavioral interventions, and professional development activities to
support program evaluation and grant compliance.
