Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Conduct assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support early intervention when needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, and preschool teaching best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting with a strong understanding of child development instruction.
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies suitable for young children.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and child welfare practices.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early childhood assessment tools.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR; experience teaching physical education or promoting healthful activities is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities including daycare experience or private school teaching roles.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
