Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
- Operate POS systems such aa Lavu POS and Door dash POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and beverage stations to meet food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling duties, including processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring quality standards are upheld for all café offerings.
- Support team members with time management during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service with strong knowledge of beverage service and drink preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, order processing, and inventory management.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience in retail sales transactions combined with a passion for coffee culture makes you an ideal candidate.
