What You'll Do
Position Summary
The Ready-Mix Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all Ready-Mix operations across multiple production facilities. This role oversees Regional Managers responsible for nine Ready-Mix plants and provides direct oversight of the Ready-Mix Dispatch Department to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations. In this role you are accountable for plant performance, dispatch efficiency, customer service, fleet utilization, quality control coordination, financial performance, employee development, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Director of Operations, this position develops operational strategies that improve productivity, increase customer satisfaction, and support the company's long-term growth objectives.
As our Ready-Mix Operations Manager, you will
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable all Ready-Mix operational resources, including Regional Managers, Dispatch personnel, Plant Managers, and support teams.
- Provide critical problem-solving leadership by proactively identifying operational challenges, analyzing root causes, and implementing timely, data-driven solutions that minimize disruption to production, delivery, and customer service.
- Direct and oversee the centralized Ready-Mix Dispatch to optimize fleet utilization and delivery performance.
- Ensure efficient coordination between dispatch, ready-mix drivers, production, maintenance, quality control, sales, and customer service.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve plan efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor daily production schedules and adjust resources to meet customer demand.
- Standardize operating procedures across all Ready-Mix facilities.
- Conduct regular operational reviews with Regional Managers to evaluate plant performance.
Success Criteria
- Operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry, customer, and regulatory standards.
- All plants consistently meet or exceed production targets and quality expectations.
- The organization demonstrates a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational scorecard measurable and financial targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
Essential duties

- Direct day-to-day operations across Ready-Mix Concrete divisions.
- Collaborate with the Integrator and Finance team on budgets, forecasts, and investment plans.
- Lead and support Ready-Mix operations initiatives, including major repairs and rebuilds.
- Oversee the Technical Services team to ensure quality assurance, compliance, lab operations, and mix design integrity.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process controls to ensure consistent production and delivery performance.
General duties

- Conduct regular plant visits and performance reviews with site-level managers and teams.
- Coordinate closely and collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service to align operations with demand forecasts.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training for plant and maintenance personnel.
- Monitor and benchmark industry trends, technologies, and standards to maintain competitive advantage.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between plant teams and leadership.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
