Maintenance Technician
Diamond Hill Apartments is currently seeking a motivated, dependable, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas.

This is a hands-on position focused on apartment make-ready turns, resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience with painting, drywall repair, apartment renovations, and general maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Complete apartment make-ready turns efficiently while maintaining company quality standards.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents.
- Perform interior painting, drywall repairs, texture matching, patching, and touch-up work.
- Repair or replace doors, locks, blinds, cabinets, fixtures, hardware, and other apartment components.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.
- Install or repair cabinetry, shelving, appliances, and related fixtures.
- Complete resident service requests professionally and in a timely manner.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and the upkeep of common areas and building exteriors.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials.
- Report larger repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience required
- Experience with painting, drywall repair, texture matching, and apartment turns is required.
- Basic knowledge of & experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- EPA Certification is preferred.
- Plumbing Certifications preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required.
- Must provide basic hand tools necessary to perform daily maintenance duties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
