Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Server/Cashier, where you’ll be the friendly face that creates a welcoming environment for our guests. In this role, you will deliver exceptional food service by taking orders, preparing simple food items, and ensuring each customer has a memorable experience. You will also handle cash register operations, process transactions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales through upselling and excellent customer service, making every visit enjoyable and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions and cash handling efficiently
- Prepare basic food items in accordance with food safety standards, including assembling orders and handling food safely
- Manage customer orders using food service customer order management systems, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment to meet sanitation standards
- Process cash transactions, handle cash register operations, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Operate kitchen equipment safely while adhering to food safety management practices
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and maintaining a clean workspace throughout your shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong food handling knowledge and understanding of food safety standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Proven ability to upsell menu items and contribute to sales goals through friendly customer interactions
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash registers
- Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or retail sales transactions is advantageous
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards at all times
- Food service experience in cafes or restaurants is desirable but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
