PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE
The Center Front Desk Staff serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests, working various shifts at the Front Desk. This role ensures a seamless experience for visitors by providing a high level of customer service, maintaining a safe environment for all members and guests, and keeping facilities operational and welcoming.
PRINCIPLE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Member Care Director and works collaboratively with other Member Care staff to provide service excellence, while building positive relationships with members, guests, and staff to support a welcoming and exceptional member and guest experience.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warmly greet and engage members, guests, and children, creating a welcoming and hospitable environment while building positive connections throughout the Center.
- Provide professional front desk support by answering phones, assisting with inquiries, checking members and guests into the facility, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate member accounts.
- Respond promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, and feedback while helping ensure Center rules, policies, and safety guidelines are followed; escalate concerns to leadership as appropriate.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility through regular tidying, towel service, restocking, and communicating maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities team.
- Assist with facility setup, breakdown, and daily operational needs, including restacking weights and managing pool covers and lane lines, which may involve lifting, pulling, pushing, and cranking.
- Collaborate with Member Care staff and other team members to provide service excellence and actively participate in staff meetings, program events, and team gatherings.
PROFILE SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
- Must be at least 16 years old
- DOJ background clearance required or a valid school work permit required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Collaborative team player
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Certifications:

First Aid/CPR/AED Certified (or willing to obtain certification within 3 months of hire).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Continual standing, walking, and moving indoors and outdoors during shifts (3.5 to 5-hour shift duration).
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, particularly in the summer months.
- Bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Physically assisting individuals out of pools or off equipment when necessary.
WORKWEEK
- Part-time position: 8-20 hours per week (2 shift minimum); Sunday-Saturday, hours may vary
