Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize vacuuming, floor care, and other cleaning equipment efficiently to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks associated with moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all areas meet health regulations.
- Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial or hotel experience.
- Expertise in floor cleaning, floor care techniques, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety data sheet (SDS) compliance.
- Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks involved in housekeeping duties.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols, hotel housekeeping standards, and janitorial best practices.
