Sauté Chef (Line Cook)

Position Summary
Glen Oak Country Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Sauté Chef to join our culinary team. This role is essential to executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The ideal candidate has strong sauté and hot line experience, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute sauté and hot line items to club standards
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
- Work efficiently during high-volume service (a la carte, events, pool service)
- Assist with prep, station setup, and breakdown
- Follow recipes, portioning, and plating guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team and leadership
- Support banquet and event execution as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a professional kitchen (country club or high-volume restaurant preferred)
- Strong sauté and line cooking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
