We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to lead the Maintenance operations of a well-established skilled nursing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on maintenance expertise along with proven management or supervisory experience in a long term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring accountability and high performance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including life safety and survey readiness
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Coordinate and manage outside vendors and contractors
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance activities
- Partner with leadership to support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Director (or similar leadership role) required
- Supervisory or management experience is a must
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare, or long-term care setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety codes, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to facility needs
- On-call availability for emergencies as needed
