Bilingual Daycare Assistant (Spanish–English)
Creciendo Together is a licensed bilingual Spanish-English early childhood program serving infants and toddlers. Our program is built on the belief that early childhood is real learning, not simply supervision.
We create a warm, structured, and play-based environment where children feel emotionally safe, seen, and supported. Spanish and English are used intentionally throughout the day as part of children’s learning, culture, identity, and sense of belonging.
We are seeking a reliable, nurturing, and engaged Bilingual Daycare Assistant to join our growing team.
This role is for someone who believes that working with young children is meaningful and skilled work. The right candidate will bring patience, warmth, responsibility, and pride to the care and education of infants and toddlers.
What You’ll Do
- Actively supervise and engage infants and toddlers with warmth and emotional presence
- Support play-based learning, daily activities, routines, and transitions
- Use Spanish and English intentionally throughout the day
- Assist with meals, snacks, bottles, diapering, toileting, and rest time
- Participate in books, music, movement, sensory activities, and outdoor play
- Use gentle and developmentally appropriate guidance
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment
- Clean and sanitize toys, tables, eating areas, and program spaces
- Communicate professionally and work collaboratively with the director and staff
- Follow program policies and childcare health and safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Fluency in Spanish and the ability to communicate in English
- Genuine care for young children and early learning
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children preferred
- Reliability, punctuality, responsibility, and good judgment
- Comfort changing diapers and participating in all daily caregiving routines
- Ability to remain attentive, active, and engaged throughout the shift
- Openness to feedback, professional growth, and teamwork
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry young children
- Sit on the floor, bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout the childcare environment
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities
- Respond promptly and appropriately to children’s needs
Employment Requirements
Selected candidates must complete the requirements for employment in a licensed New York State childcare program, including:
- Background check and fingerprinting
- Medical clearance
- Required childcare health and safety training
- Mandated reporter training
- CPR and First Aid certification, if not already completed
Guidance will be provided throughout the onboarding process.

Buscamos una Asistente de Guardería Bilingüe responsable, cariñosa y participativa para unirse a nuestro equipo.
Este puesto es para alguien que cree que trabajar con niños pequeños es un trabajo significativo que requiere habilidad, paciencia y responsabilidad.
Responsabilidades
- Supervisar e interactuar activamente con bebés y niños pequeños con calidez y presencia emocional
- Apoyar el aprendizaje a través del juego, las actividades, las rutinas y las transiciones
- Utilizar el español y el inglés intencionalmente durante el día
- Ayudar con comidas, meriendas, biberones, cambios de pañal, uso del baño y hora de descanso
- Participar en cuentos, música, movimiento, actividades sensoriales y juegos al aire libre
- Utilizar orientación respetuosa y apropiada para el desarrollo infantil
- Mantener un ambiente limpio, organizado y seguro
- Limpiar y desinfectar juguetes, mesas, áreas de comida y espacios del programa
- Comunicarse profesionalmente y trabajar en colaboración con la directora y el equipo
- Cumplir con las políticas del programa y los requisitos de salud y seguridad
Lo Que Buscamos
- Dominio del español y capacidad para comunicarse en inglés
- Genuino interés por los niños y la educación temprana
- Se prefiere experiencia trabajando con bebés o niños pequeños
- Responsabilidad, puntualidad y buen criterio
- Comodidad cambiando pañales y participando en todas las rutinas de cuidado
- Capacidad para mantenerse atenta, activa y participativa durante el turno
- Disposición para recibir retroalimentación, crecer profesionalmente y trabajar en equipo
- Certificación de CPR y Primeros Auxilios es una ventaja
Requisitos de Empleo
La persona seleccionada deberá completar los requisitos para trabajar en un programa de cuidado infantil licenciado en Nueva York, incluyendo:
- Verificación de antecedentes y huellas digitales
- Certificación médica
- Capacitaciones requeridas de salud y seguridad
- Capacitación como reportera obligatoria
- Certificación de CPR y Primeros Auxilios, si aún no la posee
Se ofrecerá orientación durante el proceso de incorporación.
