Director of Sales – Food Packaging
A manufacturer of food packaging materials is seeking a Director of Sales to expand business with major food manufacturers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies across North America.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this role is responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and building relationships with large food manufacturers, national CPG companies, and brand owners. The ideal candidate has experience selling packaging materials into large food and CPG organizations and maintains established relationships with decision-makers within those accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business within major food manufacturers and CPG companies.
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers at national food and consumer products companies.
- Grow existing accounts while identifying new opportunities.
- Lead sales opportunities involving procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and executive leadership.
- Develop pricing, proposals, forecasts, and account plans.
- Partner with operations, product development, and customer service to support customer programs.
- Support packaging development, material conversions, and new product launches.
- Monitor market trends and customer activity.
Qualifications
- Established relationships with large food manufacturers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies.
- Bachelor's degree required .
- Seven or more years of sales experience within food packaging, packaging materials, or a related manufacturing industry.
- Track record of developing new business and growing strategic customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40–60%.
