The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida seeks to fill one tenure-track position in the area of Mathematical and Computational Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 16, 2026.
Candidates should have an established research program, a compelling plan for future research, the ability to supervise both graduate and undergraduate research, and a record of excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package. Although applications will be accepted until the position is filled, only those received by November 15, 2025 will be assured full consideration.
The successful candidate will join a department of approximately 60 faculty and 85 graduate students pursuing research across a wide range of pure and applied areas (https://math.ufl.edu/).
