Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Assist servers by delivering food orders efficiently from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
- Support the kitchen staff with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Carry out manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of trays, dishes, and supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness in all service areas through regular cleaning, bussing, and sanitation efforts.
- Provide exceptional in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly and responding promptly to their needs.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required, supporting seamless service flow.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Knowledge of banquet service or hotel hospitality operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting are essential.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience can enhance your ability to support food running duties effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy items safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
