Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for a classroom of students.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging and interactive lessons.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the overall success of the program.
- Maintain open communication with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback to parents and administrators.
- Implement early intervention strategies for students who may require additional support.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Training or certification in early intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements for childcare centers.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior.
- Knowledge of early literacy education, math concepts, and other subject areas.
- Familiarity with child welfare regulations and guidelines.
