Join our team as a Seasonal Banquet Cook and play a key role in preparing high-quality food for banquet events and special functions. In this fast-paced culinary position, you’ll be responsible for executing menu items based on banquet event orders (BEOs), maintaining food quality standards, and supporting large-scale event production. Prepare hot and cold menu items for banquet events according to function sheets and BEO specifications

Review and confirm daily banquet production needs with the Chef or Sous Chef

Execute food preparation tasks including cutting, slicing, dicing, peeling, and portioning ingredients

Organize and prioritize banquet food production to ensure timely event execution

Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and dating to ensure freshness and reduce waste

Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines for banquet service

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including tables, shelving, and refrigeration units

Monitor inventory and assist in ensuring all required food items are prepared and available for events

Communicate with culinary leadership regarding station status and production needs

Assist with general kitchen duties and support other culinary areas as needed

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operational procedures

Complete closing duties and ensure proper kitchen reset after service
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience required

Strong knife skills and basic culinary technique required

Ability to read and execute banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction from culinary leadership

Must be 18 years of age or older

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
