Construction Crew Leader / Lead Carpenter

Cheyenne Valley Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Crew Leader / Lead Carpenter to lead a small residential construction crew on projects throughout Southeast Missouri.
This is a hands-on working leadership position. The Crew Leader will work alongside the crew while being responsible for day-to-day jobsite execution, productivity, workmanship, and organization.
This position reports directly to the General Foreman.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a small construction crew
- Carry out project plans and instructions provided by the General Foreman
- Assign daily tasks and keep crew members productive
- Maintain quality and workmanship standards
- Perform and oversee residential construction and remodeling work
- Coordinate with the General Foreman regarding project progress, materials, problems, and scheduling
- Identify material and equipment needs before they cause delays
- Maintain an organized and safe jobsite
- Help train and develop less-experienced crew members
- Take responsibility for completing assigned work correctly and efficiently
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with real, well-rounded construction experience who is capable of taking responsibility for a jobsite and leading other workers.
Ideal candidates will have experience with multiple areas of residential construction, including:
- Framing and carpentry
- Remodeling and renovation
- Roofing and exterior work
- Siding, windows, and doors
- Deck construction
- Drywall and interior finishes
- General residential construction
Previous leadership experience is preferred, but we will consider an experienced tradesperson who is ready to move into a leadership role.
Candidates should be dependable, able to solve problems independently, communicate well, and take pride in producing quality work.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
